“Cliff Side Cypress” was photographed at Point Lobos Reserve located on a peninsula south of Monterey, CA. The image portrays a stand of Monterey Cypress along the coastline of the reserve. The original color of the trees has been changed to black and white with strong shadows to highlight the patterns of light on the tree trunks and branches while keeping the grass a muted green.
