Water, Light, and Sand

Water, Light, and Sand

$0.00

“Water, Light, and Sand” was photographed at Antelope Canyon near Page, AZ. This is a slot canyon sculpted by water that is only 6 to 12 feet wide that towers above you and is best viewed from 11 am to 1 pm when sunlight optimally illuminates the rock formations and colors. To see the shafts of light, sand from the canyon floor is tossed into the air and can be seen falling like water over a rocky ledge. The image attempts to capture the canyon’s unique character by bringing out its color and sculptural qualities. Click on link for larger image in new window.
