“Harbor Abstract” was photographed during a rainstorm at a small fishing harbor near French Creek located on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Due to weather, all of the fishing vessels were in port creating a dense scene of decks and masts in the harbor. The print was created from several photos of vessels shot from different viewpoints which are blended together in Photoshop to create abstracted harbor layers. These spatial layers convey the congestion in the harbor and the visual movement and cacophony of the scene over time. Click on link for larger image in new window.
