“Silence of Solitude” was photographed at the Aviario Nacional de Colombia sanctuary for wild birds near Cartagena, Columbia. This part of the reserve had a solitary small bird at water’s edge and was unusually quiet with only an occasional breeze rustling the leaves. The photo attempts to capture nature’s choreography of light illuminating the leaves and water of the landscape with a bird camouflaged by the “dancing” lights and darks .
